A rich and hearty chili sin carne to satisfy your taste buds

This vegetarian chili sin carne of the classic ‘con carne’ is bursting with flavour and loaded with nutritious ingredients. Given its blend of smoky, savoury, and spicy flavours, this recipe is sure to satisfy your cravings and is the perfect rich and hearty meal for colder days.

This recipe is perfect for a weekday dinner since it’s mainly based on canned foods and requires very little effort. All you gotta do is chop onion, garlic, and bell pepper, and the rest will (almost) do itself. It’s also great to make ahead if you’re meal prepping. Just heat it up on a microwave or pot and you’re ready to go.

Chili sin carne is typically made with a variety of beans, such as kidney beans, black beans, or pinto beans, as well as tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers. We use kidney and black beans here, but you can use whatever you can find. You can also add other veggies, such as corn, to your chili.

You can easily make this a chili con carne

If you prefer the meaty version, or simply want a recipe you can adapt for veggy or meat-lovers alike – no problem. You can add ground meat after frying the onion and garlic, and make sure it is well cooked before adding the remaining ingredients. To make sure you still have the hearty and spicy experience, reduce the amount of beans proportionate to the amount of meat you add.
