This Brigadeiro recipe is a quick and easy process, and you’ll need just a few simple ingredients:

  • Cocoa Powder: Cocoa powder adds a deep, rich chocolate flavor to these sweet treats, making them impossible to resist.
  • Margarine: Margarine contributes a velvety richness and helps to bind the mixture together. You can also used unsalted butter
  • Chocolate Sprinkles: Chocolate sprinkles provide a little crunch and hold the brigadeiros together. You can also use colorful sprinkles for a fun, festive look to the Brigadeiros.

To make Brigadeiros, start by combining the sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, and margarine in a saucepan. Cook the mixture over low heat, stirring continuously, until it thickens and begins to pull away from the sides of the pan. Once the mixture reaches a fudgy consistency, remove it from the heat and let it cool in the fridge. Then, shape the Brigadeiros into bite-sized balls and roll them in sprinkles for that final touch.
