  • 2 sheets of puff pastry dough
  • 4 tbsp hazelnut spread
  • 1 egg, beaten, for the eggs wash
  • Optional: icing sugar

  • Lay one sheet of puff pastry dough in a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Use a spoon or knife to evenly spread the hazelnut cream, then lay the second sheet on top.
  • Now cut the shape of a tree, then cut the sides into branches that are about 1-1.5 cm (½-¾ inch wide). Use cookie cutters to use up the remaining dough. Then brush the tree and other shapes with the eggwash for the golden shine
  • Bake everything for 15-20 minutes on 180°C (356°F) ore until golden. Sprinkle some icing sugar on top to give the illusion of snow. Enjoy!
